Embracing Ayurveda Can Free Us from Many Ailments: Sri Trinetra Swamiji

The National Ayurveda Educational Conference, organised by Adi Arogya Ashrama Ayurveda Hospital at Chandravana Ashrama on the outskirts of the town, was inaugurated by the Peethadhipati, Dr. Sri Sri Trinetra Mahanta Shivayogi Swamiji.

Speaking afterwards, Swamiji said that preserving the Ayurveda given to us by our Sanatana Dharma, and having the strength to carry it forward, rests with the students who are studying Ayurveda today. “Ayurveda has a treatment for everything,” he said. Yet people are being drawn to English medicines that arrived only about 100 years ago, leaving this heritage aside. He explained the importance of Ayurveda, saying that in the coming days, people’s lifestyles can change for the better only when they follow the science of Ayurveda.

Renowned Ayurveda expert Dr. N. Nagesh said that if such national Ayurveda educational conferences were held continuously in every district, it would be possible to make people aware of the importance of Ayurveda. He expressed his happiness that such an event had been organised at Chandravana Ashrama, and said it had imparted knowledge to many students of Ayurveda.

District AYUSH Officer Dr. Seethalakshmi said that the lives of those who have embraced the principles and treatments of Ayurveda remain golden even today. Seeing so many students taking part in the event, she said, it feels that the science of Ayurveda is still alive among us, and she expressed her delight.

Those present on the occasion included Administrative Officer Sri Chikkathimmaiah; the organisers, Dr. Avinash and Dr. Nivesh; Dr. Mallikarjun; Dr. M. S. Madhumathi, retired Resident Medical Officer of the Ayurveda College, Mysuru; Dr. Tukaram Umarani, Medical Director of Amruta Ayurveda Hospital; Dr. Mahesh Savalagimath of B. M. Kankanawadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya; and several others.
